EARTHLAB PHOTOGRAPHY CLUB SUMMER PROJECT

 

Welcome to the EarthLab Summer Photography Program! Join us for an exciting journey into the captivating world of photography, where children aged 8 and above can unleash their creativity and explore the art and science behind this timeless medium, all within the broader theme of Light and Sound Waves.

About the Program:

The EarthLab Summer Photography Program offers an engaging curriculum with hands-on exploration of traditional and modern photographic techniques. Part of the larger theme of Light and Sound Waves, this workshop seamlessly blends art and science, allowing participants to delve into the intricate interplay of light and its impact on visual storytelling.

Workshops:

27th May: Camera Obscura & Pin Hole Cameras

28th May: Cyanotype Printing

29th May: Mobile Pro

30th May: Photography Trail (Exercises)

What to Expect:

Hands-on Exploration: Engage in hands-on exploration where participants experiment with various lighting techniques to enhance their understanding of the art and science of photography. By immersing themselves in practical exercises, participants will uncover the transformative power of light and its impact on visual storytelling. Through guided activities, they’ll discover how different lighting conditions can evoke mood, enhance composition, and elevate the overall aesthetic of their photographs, bridging the gap between art and science within the broader theme of Light and Sound Waves.

Immersive Workshops: Dive deep into the world of photography through immersive workshops led by expert instructors. Participants will not only learn the technical aspects of photography but also explore the artistic elements of light and shadow, enhancing their understanding of the art and science behind capturing images.

Showcase Event: The program culminates in a showcase event where participants exhibit their best works, celebrating their learning journey and the transformative power of photography within the context of Light and Sound Waves. About Your Club Expert: Mrinal Bahukhandi

Mrinal Bahukhandi is a versatile artist deeply immersed in the world of lens-based creativity. Specializing in experimental storytelling and the use of 19th and early 20th-century photographic processes, he seamlessly blends traditional techniques with modern innovation.

Based in Goa, India, Mrinal brings a unique perspective to his work, whether crafting captivating films, penning thought-provoking narratives, or creating mesmerizing handmade photographs.

Mrinal extends his experience and shares his knowledge through organized workshops and his creative space, Atelier Monad, a platform for artistic expression and exploration.

About Atelier Monad:

Atelier Monad is a creative space in Goa, India, founded by Mrinal Bahukhandi. It serves as a hub for artistic expression particularly centered around vintage analogue photographic and filmmaking practices. Through workshops and collaborative projects, Atelier Monad fosters a community of creators passionate about analogue techniques and handmade visual arts.

All material costs are included in the package.
For Mobile Pro workshop, to get the best out of the workshop, the attendee if possible , carry a mobile phone camera for these workshops.
