Description
Hydraulic Electromagnet Workshop
Join us for an exciting hands-on activity where children aged 7 to 15 will explore the wonders of hydraulics and electromagnetism! Guided by Clifford Prince, Research Fellow at the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing, this workshop combines creativity and science for a truly engaging experience.
Date and Time:
Saturday, 29th July, 3:30 PM – 7:30 PM (Please arrive 10 minutes early)
Location: EarthLab Club, Jakhan
Workshop Highlights:
Build and Learn: Kids will construct a hydraulic electromagnet from scratch, using syringes, IV tubes, and copper wire to understand the mechanics of levers, simple machines, and the principles of electromagnetic induction.
Interactive Demonstrations: Clifford Prince will provide hands-on demonstrations and explain the science behind each step, making complex concepts easy to understand.
Creative Engineering: Participants will design and personalize their electromagnets, encouraging creative thinking and problem-solving.
Team Collaboration: Working in teams, children will develop communication and collaborative skills as they tackle real-world engineering challenges.
Take-Home Project: Each child will take home their completed hydraulic electromagnet, a testament to their hard work and new-found knowledge. Also included are extra materials for the child to further the model at home.
Why Join?
Enhance Scientific Understanding: Dive deep into physics and engineering in a fun, supportive environment.
Boost Critical Skills: Improve problem-solving, teamwork, and critical thinking through practical application.
All Materials Included: Everything needed for the project is provided, ensuring a hassle-free experience for kids and parents.
Don’t miss this fantastic opportunity to inspire your young creator! Please reserve your spot today and let them experience the magic of science in action.
